【内容简介】

　　《英语专业阅读教程 综合阅读》为了便于教师的课堂操作，不让学生自己阅读时间太长而使课堂死气沉沉，编者特意选编了36篇短小精悍的课文（每周两篇）。
　　为了帮助学生迅速扩大词汇量和提高阅读理解能力，课文后编排了丰富多彩的练习。练习分为5大类：1类为阅读理解题，包括选择题和正误判断题。第2类为词汇扩大题，包括生词猜测题、词类转换题、同义词辨析题、相似词辨析题等。第3类为相似句辨析题。我们设计了很多妙趣横生的相似句题目，因为有些句子看起来相似，实际上却是差之毫厘谬以千里，对学生的阅读理解非常有用，特别是对那些今后将从事翻译工作和教师职业的学生尤其如此。第4类为完形填空题。因为它是对学生语言综合能力的检测，在做这类题时，教师不能只对答案，而应教给学生如下技巧：上下文线索、习惯搭配、语法知识及常识。利用这4条，一般能答对70％～80％的题目。第5大类为问答题。这类题目不但可以考查学生对课文的理解深度，也可以考查学生用英语表达自己思想的能力。
