《新时代主题大学英语进阶快速阅读4》是“新时代主题大学英语”《视听说教程4》《读写教程4》的配套用书。本教程依据《大学英语教学指南》及2013年8月全国大学英语四、六级考委会发布的“关于大学英语四、六级考试题型调整的说明”和“样题”编写而成。本书分为两个部分。部分为“快速阅读方法与技巧攻略”，介绍快速阅读的意义和要求、方法和技巧等。第二部分为快速阅读训练，分为8个单元，每单元包含3篇约800~1000词的文章。旨在从理论和实践两方面指导学生通过对快读阅读理论的深入研究，并通过教材中大量实例的具体分析，逐步掌握快速阅读的方法与技巧，迅速提高快速阅读技能和阅读理解水平。
