Each entry includes an elaborate high fantasy illustration, descriptions of tribal groupings, fighting styles, and nemeses, and an article about its role in ongoing battles in the world of Soma. Embedded into the descriptions are medical metaphors that convey mechanisms of action, modes of transmission, parts of the body that get attacked, special traits, and progressions of disease.
