Iman Stratenus was born in 1970 inDeventer, the Netherlands. He studied law in the Netherlands(Univeity of Utrecht) and in the USA (Univeity of Penylvania).After working as a corporate lawyer with De Brauw BlackstoneWestbroek, he joined the coulting firm Mcgiey & Company, in theAmsterdam office. In 2003 he joined TNT, where he initially workedas a strategy and M&A advisor to the Board of Management. Imanbecame the Country General Manager for TNT Vietnam in 2005.He movedto China in 2007, initially as Marketing & Sales Director and,as of 2008, as Managing Director (Greater) China. In 2011, Imanleft TNT. After a year as General Manager of international SOS inBeijing, Iman decided to devote his professional life to making theworld a better place. He joined the World Business Council forSustainable Development. Iman lives in Lausanne, Switzerland, withhis wife, O.uirine, and their four children, Julie, Coco, genine,and Hugo.
