\"《铁路专业英语》是以铁路通识英语为主的双语读本，从世界铁路和中国铁路发展概况入手，内容涉及铁路机车、车辆、信号、运营、工程等方面基本知识，在引导学生学习用英语阅读、理解和描述铁路基本业务的基础上，作者依据铁路主要涉外工作领域的岗位工作过程，编写了本教材，力求在企业工作典型情境中呈现英语应用任务、设计训练项目。全书共分八个单元，每个单元包含读写、听说、技能训练三大部分，每部分又包含语音训练、服务用语、专业阅读、扩展阅读、典型工作情境模拟等系列任务；各项教学内容和训练任务由浅入深、循序渐进，全面涵盖铁路工作领域各个过程，每项教学内容和训练任务均可从听、说、读、写、译多个角度设计提问和讨论，吸引学生参与，发挥话题激励凝聚作用。教材编写过程中考虑到铁路业务工作的关联性，补充了一些开放式讨论练习，引导学生自主学习拓展；教学内容与实践设计体现知识与技能的融会贯通，铁路专业词汇和短语的复现率高，配合铁路*作业标准和岗位实务。本教材适合作为高职院校专业基础课教材和铁路职工培训教材，培养铁路员工思想、业务素质和国际化交通运输服务能力。\"

【作者简介】

魏宏教授历任哈尔滨铁路局教育学院英语教师、英语教研员、铁路职工大学教学研究部主任、黑龙江交通职院基础教学部主任；兼职担任铁道部《铁路普教研究》外语教育版编辑、亚洲英语教师协会会员、教育部职业院校英语类专业教学指导委员会高职分会和应用英语分会委员、黑龙江省大学英语教学研究会常务理事、齐齐哈尔市外语学会副会长，黑龙江省欧美同学会齐齐哈尔分会副秘书长。主编、主审出版行业英语和综合英语教材11部、教辅图书20余册，公开发表论文和报告19篇，主持完成省级以上教育科研项目12项，主持建成“铁路高职英语”省级精品课程一门。
