    《教育大百科全书：女性与教育》是由澳大利亚墨尔本大学教育研究院的政策、环境和评估研究系的加布里埃尔·拉可姆斯基（GabrieleLakomski）负责编辑的。这是全书中新加进来的一部分，主要是为了从国际视角来说明、记录并解释女童和妇女在教育方面为什么会成功，又为什么会失败。这部分的词条是围绕三个主要类别组织起来的：相关国家中的女性教育历史；规定、塑造并探索了女性教育、男女不平等和女权主义研究的问题及概念；对那些传统上女性处于弱势的领域（比如某些课程、女性在管理层和教育业中所占的比例以及获得职业培训的机会等）的经验研究和讨论。
