　　马腾将军是以色列的一位传奇人物，是以色列人民心目中的国家英雄，享有很高的声望。他亲历了历次中东战争，是1976年解救恩德培劫持人质的主要指挥者之一，曾是以色列军队zui年轻的将军。历任科技教育部长、国土安全部部长等。2012年出任驻华大使。本书记叙了马腾大使30多年的军旅生涯和从政之路以及任驻华大使期间的工作。

　　吕新莉，西安外国语大学毕业，曾任以色列驻华大使马腾将军的秘书兼英文翻译。直接参与了以色列大使在华期间的各项工作，并多次与马腾大使进行深入的交谈，是马腾大使口述回忆录的整理者。
