内容简介：

李明杰编写的走向海洋(洋的历史与现状)(英文版)一书由海洋局海洋发展战略研究所负责编写和审校。是出版资助出版项目、“十二五”重点图书出版规划项目“洋”丛书中的一本分册。本书主要从自然地理的角度描述了中国周边的海洋，众多的海湾、海岛和海港，从历史的角度介绍中国从古至今认识、开发、利用海洋的过程，以及近代中国从海上遭受西方列强侵略，民奋发抗争、维护主权和海洋权益的历史。

作者简介：

李明杰，1970年生，北京延庆人，研究员。目前在海洋局海洋发展战略研究所从事海洋政策、海洋权益研究工作，参加并主持多个、部委和地方研究课题，发表多篇，获得2004年度海洋创新成果奖。    自2007年开始关注台湾的海洋问题，先后主持了院台湾事务办公室、监队、洋发展研究中心有关涉台海洋问题的3项研究课题，发表相关和研究报告4篇。
