Alan Durant has written over forty books for children of all ages – from pre-school to teenage – and in a variety of styles. GOAL! (a bind-up of four Leggs United titles) is published by Macmillan in May 2006. Alan frequently visits primary and secondary schools to perform, give talks and run workshops. He is passionate about reading, football and Manchester United!

Kate Leake studied Children’s Illustration at the North Wales School of Art and Design and was runner-up in the prestigious Macmillan Book Prize 2004. Her innovative use of colour and computer design create an unique style that is striking and fresh. Her second picture book, THE BEST CHIP, is published by Macmillan in June 2006.
