　　Ian Falconer is a painter and illustrator whose illustrationshave graced many covers of The New Yorker magazine. In addition, hehas designed sets and costumes for the New York City Ballet, theSan Francisco Opera, and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden,among others. Olivia is his first children's book. Mr. Falconerlives in New York City.
