【作者简介】

DengRong.nicknamedMaomao，wasborninSouthwestChina'sChongqingCity，thefourthchildofDengXiaoping.
AftergraduationfromtheGiris'MiddleSchoolattachedtotheBeijingNormalUniversity.shewenttoliveandworkforthreeyearsinaruralvillageontheloessplateauinthenorthernpartofNorthwestChina'sShaanxiProvince.Later，shestudiedmedicineinandgraduatedfromtheBeijingMedicalCollege（today'sMedicalSchoolofPekingUniversity）.
Intheearly1980s.sheworkedforfouryearsfirstasattacheandthenthirdsecretaryintheConsulateSectionoftheChineseEmbassyinWashingtonDC.Returninghome，sheworkedintheResearchOfficeoftheGeneralOfficeoftheNationalPeople'sCongress.AppointedtheOfficedeputydirector，sheengagedinresearchinthelegislationandlegislativesystems.
ShewasadeputytotheEighthNationalPeople'sCongressandtheexecutivememberoftheSixthAil-ChinaWomen'sFederation.
Sheisnowvice-chairwomanoftheChinaAssociationforInternationalFriendlyContact，vice-chairwomanoftheChinaCharityFederation.vice-chairwomanoftheSino-RussiaCommitteeforPeace，FriendshipandDevelopmentandexecutivepresidentoftheBeijingMusicFestival.AlsoamemberoftheChineseWritersAssociation，shehaspublishedmanyarticlesinnewspapersandmagazines.In1993，herbiographyMyFatherDengXiaopingwaspublished.IthasbeentranslatedintoJapanese，Russian，English，French，Korean，ThaiandDutch.
Herlatestbook，DengXiaopingandtheCulturalRevolution，whichrolledoffthepressesinChinesein2000.hasbeentranslatedintoKoreanandpublishedinSouthKorea.Thebook'sRussianandJapaneseversionswillhitbookstoreslaterthisyear.
