【作者简介】

Jonathan Stroud is a former publishing executive who has published several children's books in England. He lives in London.

 1970年出生于英格兰南部的贝德福，从小便非常喜爱涂涂写写。七、八岁时常卧病在床，因而养成阅读的习惯，尤其沉迷于奇幻世界的神奇。少年求学期间确定了对写作与文学的爱好，因此进入约克大学研读英国文学，之后前往伦敦，担任出版公司的童书编辑，并利用业余时间写作。1999年出版第一本小说《Buried Fire》之后终于肯定自己的才能，于2001年辞职专事写作，并于同年结婚。2003年写就「巨灵三部曲」第一部《古都护符的阴谋》，结果大为轰动，备受读者喜爱，佳评如潮，连连获奖，更跃登纽约时报畅销作家。史特劳目前与家人住在英国圣艾班斯。
