商品描述: Julian Fellowes has crafted a wonderful book of the scripts from Season One of the hit show. This includes whole scenes and huge amounts of dialogue that were not filmed or were cut. (These portions are unobtrusively indicated by a bar to the left side of the script.) While some of it may not have been strictly necessary for the show, it's all of great interest to read and expands our knowledge of the characters, their back-stories and the goings-on at the manor. But the best part of the book are the extensive notes, remarks and comments by Lord Fellowes. I learned a lot about English country life and other matters, and it is fascinating to become privy to the creative process of this gifted and entertaining writer. I hope the later seasons are similarly published. Yes, I loved watching the series very much, but I promise you that this fine volume will extend your enjoyment in many directions. A surpassingly fine entertainment!
