    父亲洪观涛

    洪朝生的父亲洪观涛,号光昆,1885年出生于福建闽侯。其先世为福建南安英都镇的武荣翁山洪姓一派。南安英都是闽南有名侨乡。“翁山洪氏自一世始祖顺斋公,于宋末避元兵之乱入英山肇基拓业,繁衍生息”“据溪山之胜,拥沃土之美,辛勤开发,世代,使英都成为远近闻名、物阜粮丰、士农工商英才辈出之宝地”。翁山洪氏有着重教兴学的传统,“其先世高瞻远瞩,黄公田兴学,毓才树人,以致明清两朝,科第蝉联,簪缨如云,族望远扬”。据成于清乾隆中叶的武荣翁山洪氏族谱载,明清两朝翁山洪氏登进士名录者达16人(后人考证明清两朝翁山洪氏进士数实为18人),杰出人物有万历进士、官至浙江总布政的洪启睿,万历进士、官至兵部侍郎的洪启初,万历进士、官至户部郎中、云南按察使副使、署云南左布政的洪启胤,其中声名*为显赫者当推明万历进士洪承畴。洪承畴明崇祯时官至兵部尚书、冀辽总督,清顺治时官任太子太保、兵部尚书兼督察院右都御史,授秘书院大学士,他是清朝首位汉人宰相。洪承畴故居位于南安市英都镇良山村霞美自然村,2005年在故居遗址处辟得洪承畴纪念园。其幼时曾在南安市英都镇霞溪村读书,得洪启胤开蒙。该读书处初名溪益馆,又称英都学馆,现已更名为“洪承畴纪念馆”。据洪启胤乱所撰《重修家谱序》一文载,洪氏系宋室名臣后裔,自分支入闽以来,“徙福州、往宁邑、移古田、迁泉州”,由此可推断洪观涛前世系“徙福州”一分支。
