About the author：
Colin McIntosh is a writer, editor, lexicographer and language teacher who has written extensively for learners of English and other languages.
A regular on the conference platform, he has given talks in the UK, Italy, Hungary, Thailand, Sweden, Poland, and France. With over 20 years’ experience of editing and publishing dictionaries and language-learning material for Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press and other publishers, his output includes monolingual English dictionaries, bilingual dictionaries for Italy, Brazil, France, and Poland, as well as dictionaries of phrasal verbs, collocations, and pronunciation. He was also responsible for the creation of the Oxford 3000 vocabulary list.
He has taught in France, Italy, and the UK, is an expert in second language acquisition and learners’ errors, and speaks Italian, Portuguese, French and German.
